Kliros is a service of a sole proprietorship in the name of Alexandros Borousas, which is the data controller for the personal data described here. The Contact page carries the business register number, the tax number, the registered address and the email address for anything in this notice, including the requests described below.

The answers you give the case check: facts about a death, the heirs, the property and what the cadastre shows. We need them to compute your result, and we store them so your case link keeps working. Legal basis: performance of a contract you asked for, and our legitimate interest in operating the service.

Your name, email and, if you give them, phone, country and the property's area. Used to send you your case link, your receipt, and to introduce you to a professional if you ask us to. Legal basis: contract, and your consent for the introduction.

Payment details, if you buy something. These go directly to Stripe and we never see or store a card number. We keep the amount, the date and Stripe's reference.

Ordinary server logs, and counters for how far people get through the funnel. No advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics scripts.

Your answers necessarily describe people who are not you: the person who died, and sometimes named co-heirs who have never visited this site and have not agreed to anything. We take that seriously, because the law does regardless of the fact that they are not our customers.

We collect the minimum the calculation needs (a year of death, a relationship, a count of heirs, whether they will cooperate) and never an identity document, a medical fact or a financial account belonging to anyone but you. We do not contact them. We delete all of it on the schedule below, and immediately if you ask.

Your case is reached by a link containing 192 bits of randomness rather than by a username and password. Anyone holding that link can open the case, which is what makes it useful: you can forward it to a lawyer or a sibling without either of them creating an account.

The consequence is worth stating plainly. Treat the link like a document, not a password. Do not post it publicly. The page is served fresh on every request and marked so that search engines do not index it, but a link you publish is a case you have published.

The one professional you ask us to match you with, and only then. We do not sell data, we do not run a lead exchange, and we do not pass your details to more than one professional at a time.

Our processors: Neon for the database, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email and Stripe for payments. Each is bound to process only on our instructions, and each is named here rather than described vaguely so you can read their terms yourself.

Nobody else, unless a Greek or EU authority compels us by law.

Cases are deleted twenty-four months after the last activity on them, automatically. Where you have paid, we keep the amount, the date and the payment reference for as long as Greek tax law requires. That record says what was sold and for how much; it says nothing about you, the property or the succession.

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, restrict what we do with it, object to it, or have it erased. The erasure form on this page does it immediately and without asking you to explain yourself: enter your case reference or the case link, and everything but the tax record goes. We confirm by email.

You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr), or to the supervisory authority where you live if that is elsewhere in the EU.

Our processors may handle data outside the EEA. Where they do, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
