Why I built this

I'm a software engineer in Athens, and Kliros started with a property in my own family. There was no fight over it and nobody was suing anybody. The problem was simpler and more annoying than that. I couldn't find anyone to tell me which of six or seven procedures we actually needed, what it would cost, or which deadlines we'd already missed. Every professional I asked sounded sure of themselves, and each one was talking about a different procedure.

So I looked into how common this is, and found that 3.45 million property rights in the Greek cadastre are listed under an unknown owner. That changed how I saw it. It wasn't just bad luck in my family. The system was failing people all over the country, and a lot of those families left Greece a generation or two ago. They don't have a Greek tax number or a power of attorney, and nobody told them there was a correction deadline with a fixed end date.

Who runs Kliros

Kliros is run by a sole proprietorship in the name of Alexandros Borousas. There's no separate company. The owner is the person who invoices you and the data controller for everything in the privacy notice. Kliros isn't a law firm and isn't regulated as one.
